Midmark Announces New Ultrasonic Cleaner to Save Time, Improve Safety

Dayton, OH
DAYTON, Ohio, June 26, 2017 — Midmark Corporation, a leading medical solutions provider for ambulatory care, today announced the introduction of QuickClean, a new ultrasonic cleaner that is 150 percent more effective than their previous units. QuickClean washes instruments in preparation for sterilization in less than half the time required by traditional ultrasonic cleaners without sacrificing quality.

Using Frequency-Leap technology, the QuickClean unit disperses water evenly across the tank, ensuring used instruments are fully cleaned, no matter their placement. In some tests, cycle time has been reduced by as much as 60 percent, allowing caregivers to spend more time with patients rather than cleaning contaminated instruments or waiting on a wash cycle to complete.

“Time and safety continue to be two of the biggest instrument processing challenges,” said Cathy Klein, instrument processing product manager, Midmark. “Using the QuickClean Ultrasonic Cleaner minimizes risks for injuries or infection from exposure to contaminated instruments that occurs during manual washing. And, automatic cleaning is more effective and more consistent than manual cleaning. It not only produces cleaner instruments without the variability of manual washing, but it ultimately helps ensure a safer environment for both the staff processing instruments and the patients exposed to the instruments. QuickClean allows caregivers and staff to spend their time with patients, rather than washing equipment.”

Three table top sizes and two recessed options of the QuickClean are available, providing caregivers with options to fit any instrument processing configuration or workflow. And, the QuickClean is easy to use right out of the box and offers a number of features to minimize required training and set-up, including:
• Digital LCD control panel that displays prompts.
• Options for preset or customized settings.
• Intelligent software that remembers the last cycle settings.
• Fluid sensor that ensures the bath always has sufficient water levels.
