Midmark Announces Integration Update with GE Healthcare EMR

Dayton, OH
DAYTON, Ohio, November 16, 2017 — Midmark Corp., a leading medical solutions provider for ambulatory care, today announced the next version of Midmark IQiC, an integration with GE Healthcare’s Centricity electronic medical record (EMR) designed to interface with practice management systems in larger physician practices. The update is designed to increase functionality for users and help improve the workflow of care providers.

Physicians and caregivers using Centricity EMR will now be able to take advantage of extended functionality and experience an improved, streamlined interface that is designed to be more intuitive and increase efficiencies. The IQiC framework simplifies future software updates, allowing them to be pushed out directly as soon as they are available. The update also integrates Midmark IQvitals Zone, a vital sign monitor designed to minimize connectivity challenges and improve data quality at the point of care by allowing caregivers to effortlessly and securely connect their tablet or laptop to the device when vital signs acquisition is initiated. With the IQiC update, Midmark IQecg users will also see new and improved ECG screen layouts and color scheme, electronic calipers, on-screen side-by-side comparison, editing tools and more.

“We are continually evolving our technology and software to help advance the industry and support better clinical outcomes,” said Kurt Forsthoefel, marketing director, medical products and services, Midmark. “Integrating digital diagnostic equipment with EMR systems such as Centricity EMR enhances the patient-caregiver interaction at the point of care by ensuring caregivers have simplified and secure access to meaningful, accurate patient data when and where they need it.”

IQvitals Zone is the latest Midmark digital diagnostic device to be integrated with Centricity EMR, joining Midmark IQholter, Midmark IQspiro, Midmark IQecg and Midmark IQvitals. This collection of easy-to-use digital diagnostic devices and software solutions can enable caregivers to quickly and accurately capture, interpret and retrieve patient information.
