The purpose of National Patient Accessibility Week is to increase awareness that
physicians need, and are obligated to have, accessible healthcare facilities for
patients who are older, obese or those with disabilities in order to provide the
same level of quality care. We support the relationship between physicians and
patients to create an examination environment that is accessible and barrier-free.
