DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 20, 2021 — Midmark Corp., a leading dental solutions provider focused on the design of the clinical environment for improving delivery of care, is proud to offer a session entitled “Remove Instrument Processing Bottlenecks” at the upcoming 2021 OSAP Dental Infection Control Boot Camp. The session, being presented Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, by Midmark’s instrument processing (IP) expert Darwin Asa, Ph.D., will identify the most common IP bottlenecks and help attendees learn how to remove them.

Midmark and the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) have long shared a common commitment to dental infection prevention and patient safety. “Well before the current pandemic brought infection control into sharper focus, both of our organizations have been providing leadership and training on achieving safer dental visits,” explains Darwin Asa, Ph.D., Midmark marketing manager, instrument processing for Midmark. With many patients now more concerned about safety during dental visits, the topic is even more critical to practice stability and growth.

In this OSAP boot camp session, attendees will learn how to streamline key elements of their IP operation, equipment and facility to become more efficient, productive and attractive to patients. “Most dentists want to see more patients and reduce staff turnover, but many may not fully understand how missteps in IP can negatively affect those things,” says Dr. Asa. “The way it’s done matters, and in this session, I’ll explain how to eliminate some common bad habits that can actually hurt a dental practice.”

The all-virtual boot camp, themed “Safety Strong,” will provide an invaluable and intense training on infection control laws, standards and best practices along with practical steps on how to implement them. Once registered, attendees can attend the “Remove Instrument Processing Bottlenecks” presentation and learn how to grow their practice by improving their IP workflow.
