Midmark demonstrates commitment to leadership development through Professional Women in Healthcare partnership

2026 PWH Leadership Experience challenges Midmark members to embrace new perspectives and discover their next leadership breakthrough

VERSAILLES, Ohio, Nov. 5, 2026 — Midmark Corp., a leader in designing seamless clinical care experiences that millions of medical, dental and veterinary visits depend on every day, recently hosted the 2026 Professional Women in Healthcare (PWH) Leadership Experience: Midmark Summit, bringing Midmark PWH members together to explore new perspectives, share experiences and strengthen leadership skills.

Midmark has been a longstanding partner of PWH, a national organization dedicated to advancing women across the healthcare supply chain through leadership development, mentoring, networking and education. Dr. Anne Eiting Klamar, chair of Midmark's board of directors, co-founded PWH in 2004.

“Midmark's longstanding partnership with PWH is a wonderful example of what happens when organizations truly invest in their people,” said Ashleigh McLaughlin, chair of Professional Women in Healthcare. “By creating opportunities for women to connect, grow, and lead with confidence, Midmark is helping develop the next generation of leaders across our industry.”

Centered on the theme “Breakthrough,” the summit challenged participants to recognize that meaningful growth doesn't always come from extraordinary moments. Sometimes, a breakthrough begins with a courageous conversation, a difficult decision, a shift in perspective or the willingness to move forward despite uncertainty. Throughout the experience, participants explored how challenges, setbacks and unexpected opportunities can become catalysts for personal and professional growth.

“Leadership development is about more than building skills. It's about creating an environment where people feel empowered to grow, challenge themselves and support one another,” said Amanda Hendry, chief people officer at Midmark and executive sponsor of the company's PWH initiative. “Through our partnership with PWH, we're helping our teammates build meaningful connections, gain confidence and bring new ideas and perspectives back to their teams.”

Klamar opened the summit with reflections on PWH's beginnings and its growth into a national professional community. The event also featured a keynote presentation, Breakthrough: Build with the Cracks, by Erin Hoeflinger, an independent member of Midmark's board of directors and former Fortune 50 healthcare executive. Drawing on pivotal moments throughout her career, Hoeflinger explored how unexpected challenges, difficult decisions and periods of reinvention can create opportunities for growth. She encouraged participants to reframe setbacks not as failures or endings, but as opportunities to build something stronger.

Through three interactive breakout experiences, participants explored practical ways to create breakthroughs in their own leadership journeys. Sessions focused on navigating courageous conversations with clarity and confidence, making thoughtful decisions amid uncertainty and leveraging personal strengths to define an authentic leadership vision. Facilitated by Tiffany Poeppelman, director of talent management at HubSpot, a global provider of AI-powered CRM solutions, and Midmark leaders Leslie Gaier Brown, Amy Nelson and Lisa Ramsey, the workshops encouraged participants to translate reflection into meaningful action.

The summit concluded with a panel discussion featuring Midmark leaders Jennifer Serres, Scott Hirst, Leah Knapke and James Lua, moderated by Missy Simons, Midmark corporate accounts executive and PWH membership committee chair. Through personal breakthrough stories, panelists reflected on pivotal moments, challenges and decisions that shaped their leadership journeys, reinforcing that growth often emerges from unexpected experiences and the willingness to embrace change.
